Our Mission

826 New Orleans cultivates and supports the voices of young writers ages 6-18 through creative collaborations with schools and communities.

Get Involved

We want to introduce our new Interim Executive Director, Rai Bolden! Rai has been rocking with 826 New Orleans for over ten years, first as a partner teacher with Big Class, then as a board member and program director.

At 826 New Orleans, we’re committed to responding to every need with care and pouring into young people in this city. Rai cannot wait to share her vision for the future of this organization with all of you!

“This is what makes me happy: a girl being the president, I like eating pizza, being with my mom, I like being at camp and I like going outside and looking at stuff” – Dee-Jay’s happiness list, created for the Celebrate Black Joy project.
